Hong Kong Trip 2012

9:12 AM
Hong Kong Trip 2012
It has way been a long time since I updated my blog and I would sincerely like to apologize to my readers out there. I was busy with my exams which was followed by my long dreaded holidays which only lasted for three weeks.I thought I would share what was so interesting about this holiday that kept me busy and happy for the past few weeks.

GUESS WHAT?

It was my first "Adult-hood" ride on the plane that I could remember ever since my trip when I was younger which I could vaguely remember & NOTHING was more embarrassing than being such a "Mountain Tortise" to not know where the lavatory was located in the Plane.

The Escalator that heads to my PlaneFlight No: TR2902
Moreover, not to mentioned the fact that I did not bring up an empty bottle to fill it up with water just before boarding the plane which left me thirsty for quite some time.

But anyway, putting all those embarrassments aside, it was a learning journey for me to set foot on a journey overseas that was further than Indonesia which was the furthest place I ever went in my life that I could remember of.

The sits in the Budget Airline was kind of too small when you take into account of the length of my legs especially when I am 184cm tall.

Had a hard time sleeping!
But the "Zoom" upon take off was SUPER AWESOME!

I have to personally thank Nigel Lew for offering me this amazing trip to fly overseas as his friend could not make it for this trip due to certain personal reasons.

I wouldn't want to bore you with the details on what I did at Hong Kong but I would just summarize what I did there, I was stayed at China on my first two days after I touch down at Macau International Airport at around 10am on 23rd December 2012.

We then cross the border by taking the bus to the custom between Zhu Hai and Macau. On 24th December 2012, we came back to Macau to try to famous Portuguese Egg Tart which is one of the softest, fluffiest egg tart whereby the taste still lingers in my mouth up till today. We also visited the ruins of the remaining wall after a fire that broke out at the church many years ago.

We also went into the museum at the peak of a small mountain-like structure where I saw certain interesting stuff that you don't usually get to see in Singapore. But on my way there, I cam-whored and took some pictures.

OPPS!
This is how I would hold the cannon!
Haha, It really looks kind of obscene, but oh well we have to keep sake some memories overseas as we never know when would be the next chance being there.

Titanic Pose!
This Peak look has a shape of a ship so here goes nothing!
At the Museum trying to mail out my entry ticket!
*Apparently it couldn't fit as they blocked it HAHA*
We took a ferry known as the TurboJet which brought us directly to Hong Kong. This is my first time being to Macau, China as well as Hong Kong which was kind of exciting especially when you are new  to these places. But its kind of scary there especially when I don't really understand Cantonese. All I tried remembered learning there was counting the numbers from 1-10 in Cantonese.

Ate Maggie Mee on the Ferry
Hopefully I'm right but here it goes, Yat, Li, San, Seh, Mm, Lok, Cat, Pat, Sap. No offense as I don't really know how to spell but I'll still try my best to continue learning cantonese.

In Hong Kong, we went to many places but stayed at a Inn near Mongkok Station.

Tried the Famous Pig Organ Soup at Mong Kok Hawker

We also visited the longest escalator which seemed so familiar. I think I found it familiar because the running man crew film there once before in one of their episodes.

Is this the Bar filmed in Running Man?
I'm not really sure about this!

An Epic Shot with Nigel along the way up the escalators!
Met my God Sister, Xin Ru at Hong Kong
Was shocked to see my god sister there as she messaged me during my stay from 25-28 December 2012 at Hong Kong. I had a hard time finding her as I did not have a line over there so I had to search for a proper payphone that accepts coin.

Was lucky to have met her there thanks to the help of Nigel's professional navigation and understanding of the clues that were given. We were only told that my sister was at a restaurant next to Nike which is opposite Levi's. Apparently, there were two of each stores over there. Which complicated things further.

We brought them to some good place to shop for guys clothes and also told them the location to buy girl's accessories before setting off for Disney Land on the 27th December 2012.

Disney MTR SO CUTE
This train is so cute as it really brings back nostalgic memories of my childhood where we would usually sit down at our sofa and watch Kids Central and they would show Mickey Mouse sometimes.

This statue is so cute
It moves up and down probably with the aid of a metal rod

CAMWHORE TIME!
It's Cute Mickey at the back!

The Railway station that we didn't manage to take!

A Photo Keepsake to bring home to remember our time together at Disneyland Hong Kong

Guess we needed to take some photos or the trip there would be a total waste!

BUZZ LIGHTYEAR I COME IN PEACE!
This was a super fun game but I couldn't match up to Nigel's score and the lady in front of more than 400,000 points.

BUT ALL I COULD GET WAS!
Merely 17,000 points.

POOH BEAR♥"

THIS IS CUTE TO THE MAXIMUM
That's a short summary of my trip!
Let's make friends together and probably go out on a holiday sometime together?

HAHA JUST A MERE JOKE!

9:10 AM
FRANKENWEENIE
At your wits end thinking of a movie to watch this November?

GUESS WHAT?

FRANKENWEENIE is coming to cinemas this November.
Official Release Date: 15th November 2012

Come join the fun this November and get ready to grab your tickets at any cinema outlet before it is all sold out!

Disney's FRANKENWEENIE

Movie Synopsis

From creative genius Tim Burton ("Alice in Wonderland," The Nightmare Before Christmas") comes "Frankenweenie," a heartwarming tale about a boy and his dog. After unexpectedly losing his beloved dog Sparky, young Victor harnesses the power of science to bring his best friend back to life—with just a few minor adjustments. He tries to hide his home-sewn creation, but when Sparky gets out, Victor's fellow students, teachers and the entire town all learn that getting a new "leash on life" can be monstrous.

A stop-motion animated film, "Frankenweenie" will be filmed in black and white and rendered in 3D. The talented voice cast includes: Catherine O'Hara, Martin Short, Martin Landau, Charlie Tahan, Atticus Shaffer, Robert Capron, Conchata Ferrell and Winona Ryder.

Presented by Disney, "Frankenweenie" is directed by Tim Burton, produced by Tim Burton and Allison Abbate, from a screenplay by John August, based on an original idea by Tim Burton.

FRANKENWEENIE's Official Trailer

From the movie you will see how a bond between a dog which is just like a friend to him could give him the determination to save his beloved dog by harnessing the power of science to revive him. No matter how hard he tried, he didn't gave up as he wouldn't give up until he see his dog alive and kicking again.

Ever wonder whether you will do the same?
What if i'm in the exact same shoes as him?

If i were to have my very own pet that is just like a family member to me, I would try my very best to resuscitate him through CPR if anything were to happen to him.

If it fails, I would definitely harness the power of science even if i wasn't specialize in this area. I would find all means of help by trying my best to liaise with different Scientist around the world to find a way to revive my favorite pet even if it's going to take my whole life to do that.

If we do not take the effort to try to save someone as precious and close to you, it defeats the purpose to even say that we cannot make it before we give it a try.

If you never try you'll never know the outcome.

I'll definitely go through all means to save my favorite pet and make sure that I'll be able to share whatever lost time with him by even inventing a communicator machine to talk to my pet to further understand each other. As the communication barrier prevents us from truly understanding how the pet feels.

Pets are not just animals, they are our companion and friend that is always there with us whenever we need someone there to protect and accompany us. We all learn to live our lives with our own kind, but we should co-exist and treat our pets as equals as they are cute animals that deserves better.

Even if i weren't able to revive him, I would definitely keep him by my side by even going to the trouble to ensure that the memories spent together are always kept deep down in my heart. I would even open a museum to showcase to everyone the memories that we spent together as friends and not just only as "owner and pet relationship." This is something that would hopefully spread the message to everyone to treat their pets equally as well instead of treating them as toys.

Halloween Deadly Ever After 2012

7:33 AM

Deadly Ever After 2012
Venue: Sentosa 4D Magix and Singapore Cable Car Museum

Guess all of you had your own plans for Halloween this year.

I had mine too at this amazing Deadly Ever After 2012.

We had to queue for 2 hours to enjoy the fun as there were many people attending this event during over this awesome weekend as this is the last week whereby the Halloween events are hosted.

It was worth the wait!

We took some photos in my first cable car ride in Singapore at Harbourfront Tower.

Want to know why it was worthwhile after all?

They made an amazing plot from the very start of the trail right to the end of it.

At the very start of the trail, we had to do a safety check before embarking our journey into the Haunted trail to ensure that no one has any past related heart problems or asthma attack.

Immediately after the briefing, we were shocked by the appearance of a white lady that came to ask us for help to find Ah-Ling.

She passed us a "Red String"

And WARNED US to keep it safe or else the person keeping who loses the string will jeopardize the safety of the entire group.

Though it was just meant to make us more scared, it was very realistic after all.

We went pass several places such as a bride who asked us for help who was forced by another lady to marry a living dead which apparently looked like her mom.

We went pass a corner with a lady inside looking at her Jewellery and staring at us as though she was ought to scare us.

We met a lady who was told to be "Ah Ling" as someone told us to chase after her to stop her from running away. But she was no where to be found when we walked towards her direction.

We went pass a cemetery and were indeed impressed by the layout as it was very realistic and we were holding each other's hands tightly while we brave through the entire cemetery.

There were the living dead hiding behind tombstones and curtains with props lying all around that looked so real.

Due to the fact that the scary living dead that were stationed at each place looked so fake, we were shocked and terrified the moment they came to scare us as we were totally off guard as we thought they were not real at all.

We went into the hospital with nurses and dead patients lying on the beds that made us feel even more scared as it is gave us a creepy realistic feeling. The feeling is as though we are actually in a situation whereby we are indeed stuck at a hospital all alone in a group.

We even went pass this lady sitting down on the floor which was indeed creepy as she made noises to vibe up the scary atmosphere.

We ended off our journey at a photo booth and we were asked whether to purchase a photo for $15. This photo was actually taken when we were queuing up to enter the Haunted Trail.

Though it was a short journey, we apparently enjoyed it to the fullest. It was totally worthwhile!

We really enjoyed the event to the fullest and would look forward to attending more Halloween events next year.
